Movie Review - Limitless

Limitless is a movie that will bring you “limitless” fun and entertainment. Going into the movie I already had a good feeling and I was very happy NOT to be disappointed. Limitless is sure to make you laugh but still manage to keep you on the edge of your seat.

It stars Bradley Cooper as Eddie Mora, a writer with writers block. This all changes when Eddie runs into his ex-brother-in-law on the streets of his home town, New York. Eddie stops, chats with him, and has a couple of drinks. Then the ex-brother-in-law (a drug dealer) tells him about this, “Great new, FDA approved drug, called NZT”. At first Eddie is reluctant to try it, but then thinks, “What do I have to lose?” and takes the drug. It allows you to access all 100 percent of your brain power. With this newly found miracle he finishes his book in four days and gets a pay raise. The story then switches direction to show off the side effects of the drug and the negative effects it has on Eddie’s life. His long time girlfriend leaves him and he has several people trying to kill him, all right after he gets a new job as an advisor. His boss, who is played by Robert De Niro, uses him excessively and is very shady.

The movie is full of twists and turns and will have you gripped until the very last scene. Make sure you don’t miss it! Bradley Cooper shows off more then just his smile in this movie. He showed a more serious side to him that we have not seen in previous movies like “The A-Team” or “The Hangover”. Robert De Niro is an incredible choice for Eddie’s boss, Carl Van Loon, because he delivers his lines with such ease, making every scene he is in a delight to watch. Neil Burger directs the star-studded cast making it a movie with very few flaws.

Though it has many scenes with drug use, it is appropriately rated PG-13 and is not to extreme for the young teen.

Limitless is an incredibly fun movie that is well worth your time and a great way to kick off the spring fun!
